Empty Map
This mod removes the full GTA5 map, allowing you to place your Total Conversion map to the center of the gameworld, instead of placing it far out at the ocean.
The mod also includes a basic radar map tutorial of how to make your own radar map for your mod.
Requirements
- OpenIV or CodeWalker
- Any mod or custom script, which can kill vanilla scripts (of course, I recommend my YOS mod, but you're free to use any script you like)

Updated to game version 1.0.2944.0
I seem to have found and fixed all bugs (thanks @MoravianLion for finding the glow).
Even the other leftover map content could be removed, and the Additional IPL Disabling is not needed.
@ReNNie Commenting nonsense? Where did I comment nonsense? Multiple times I said "I hope this mod can be beneficial to people in some way.". I am sorry but I can not think every scenario and I am quite the multi perspective thinker.
I never had any texture loss with gtx 1660, having Red Dead Desert, Lake Louise, Liberty City and Las Venturas maps installed at the same time combined with 5Real. Laptops are never meant for gaming anyway, no matter how much cpu and gpu you shove into their tiny little case.
Anyways, thanks for telling me your experience. But please exercise an open mind in future to know that people not being able to know everything doesn't mean they think with a narrow mind... I never criticized the mod neither give any bad rating, I was purely curious of it's beneficial purpose.
@JohnFromGWN This was the first time I heard a texture loss on an addon map. I had a lot in the main original world until started using Resource Adjuster but never in addon map. My pc not great at all and definitely not configured for gaming.
@MissySnowie Once more, you're the person who is right on this one. This might be the greatest mod ever uploaded but the audience is very limited. To be objective, I downloaded it just to see why this deserved to be featured. When I realized how many changes were required to install it....sorry no way I'm going to move all those files around. And don't even suggest an OIV installer, I will never use one. In all fairness, the instructions should be published in the description so users know what to expect from an installation perspective. If anyone has actually taken the time to install this, or better still to script their own storyline, I would love to see an example - to better understand how a user can build something worthwhile in a few days rather than a few years. I live in a major hub for gaming and many of my friends are in the industry at Ubisoft and Behaviour and EA etc. They'll confirm that developing game takes large teams with members having very specific skill sets: technical artists, programmers, conventional artists, 3D modelers, animation, lighting, and on and on and on. So once more, would love to see someone complete a project with this mod and either share it or just provide a proof of concept.
Ayy the new GTA V patch leak is here.
🔥🔥🔥
@Jupiter Kasparov , for city glow at night, locate gta5.meta and simply delete following record
<Item>
<filename>platform:/data/effects/vfxfogvolumeinfo</filename>
<fileType>VFXFOGVOLUMEINFO_FILE</fileType>
</Item>
And IIRC, following 2 are responsible for LOD traffic lights (don't remember exactly, if both or just one, try it out first)
<Item>
<filename>common:/data/levels/gta5/distantlights.dat</filename>
<fileType>DISTANT_LIGHTS_FILE</fileType>
</Item>
<Item>
<filename>common:/data/levels/gta5/distantlights_hd.dat</filename>
<fileType>DISTANT_LIGHTS_HD_FILE</fileType>
</Item>
Also, what are those props you couldn't delete? Mind sharing a screenshot? Maybe I can help with that too.
SO IF I PUT A 5M MLO IN HERE IT WILL LOAD UP
@MissySnowie You are commenting nonsense at this point.
@Brukanator And you are replying to a comment been made more than a week ago. This mod removes the entire game world and you are talking about the Blaine County's sky while using NVR, while there is no Blaine County exist anymore...
If you want to fix NVR's sky, you need to modify NVR, not remove the entire game world. Which I am quite sure the author didn't make this mod to fix Blaine County's ugly sky with NVR. Perhaps give a look at Descriptions.
I made my point and forgot the existence of this mod. So you are just typing empty things. Whoever gets any benefit by removing game world, good for them ..
@MissySnowie I'm not referring to Blaine county itself, halfwit. The lack of light pollution makes the surrounding areas in it's place have unrealistic lighting and sky. When a map like liberty city is placed outside of the range of los santos, the sky looks uglier and unnatural. When it's placed in los santos' spot, the light pollution makes it look more like an actual city.
@Brukanator First learn how to address people, then learn how to make what you want yourself. Just because your dumb rotten mind doesn't know how to create a simple fake light doesn't mean you can come here and teach me about modding with insultive words.
But looking at your comment history, you should first to be sent to primary school instead to learn some manners, learning modding should come 50 years later for you. Now go get your milk kiddo, this is a comment section for the mods, not a circlejerk.
@Brukanator Here, I just disabled that light pollution completely.

It can be disabled, it can be duplicated and moved to another position too. Though not gonna bother myself with doing it for a rude guy like you and I will let your "halfwit" smartass figure it out yourself.
Hi, anyone knows how to install this on a private server in fivem?
OIV??
Are we able to still add our own map expansions like liberty city remix?
@Starfox1993 Yes. That is the point of this mod, to allow you to add your own maps. These maps can even be placed at the center now.
@Jupiter Kasparov Thank you
@Jupiter Kasparov Please update to the latest version 1.0.0.3095
@Jupiter Kasparov I'm using your mod and faced with the fact that not all the minicart is clean: https://imgur.com/a/duQvs8c
How can I remove this piece of mini map?
