@Some Dude Sorry Im so slow, my health is still a challenge right now. I will look into the uninstall and see if there is anything else that could cause you this error. My mod does not replace the default trains or anything else that should effect like that. Meaning all the files needed are to add my models and allow the game enough memory to not crash. Going back to default should therefor have no negative effect. I will check this though because someone else DID have this same problem during early testing.
@Some Dude I get a LOT of people saying they "did everything I said" and it usually comes down to they only installed the OIV. What files did you install before installing the train mod? You need custom game config for YOUR version of the game. You need HEAP ADJUSTER and you need script hook and community script hook. My mod adds lots of trains, but to have the default spawn again, you only need to remove the 2 dlclist entries and replace your old trains and traintracks xml files from your NON mod folder. Remember this mod was tested by a LOT of people on everything from pirated versions of the game to the newest patches and even the EA version. After over 2k successful installs, Im fairly certain you have done something wrong.
@pim911 Saving or loading, none of that should edit your xml's, its dependent on your xml's. Some say that with certain mods, it helps to start a new game or try a different save. But NOTHING with this train mod needs/cares/depends on save data. The files the train mod needs before it can work are to help with stability and memory use. On some systems you may not need some of these files, on others, they will crash without them. But the prerequisite files are pretty much this communities standard at this point if you want to run any mod larger than just a few addon cars. This is not a method I developed, its the standard for large mods. Thats why your issue is so confusing to me.
@pim911 You said your game lasted "4 minutes and then crashed"..... with a blank DLCLIST your game cannot "last" at all since it wont load. So if you are playing and then getting crashes that erase your lists or any xml files, you should REALLY check into the mods you are combining because I have NEVER heard of that before. I would really be interested to know how and what would cause that.
@pim911 Wow thats pretty good. Over 2k people Ive not had that before. I would say double check all the documents and REQUIREMENTS I took the time to type out for the mod. The ONLY way your DLCLIST would do that is if it was already messed up in some way. The code for the OIV is not random, it only works one way for updating your list unless your list itself is wrong. Even if you didnt follow a single instruction I gave, just installing the oiv still cannot do that without pre-existing problems. Would really love to see a video of what is happening on your system.
@24sf I would say read the info on the trainer and see if it has a method of editing what vehicles it displays. I am not the creator of Simple and I have no idea how it works. I use addon Spawner for spawning vehicles.
Everyone I have been in hospital and I'm not doing so well just yet, if you need help go to our discord and some of the members can help you probably faster than I can right now, sorry.
@24sf Not sure what you mean?
@BULLFAYCE I will look into that. I have been in hospital but I'm coming back now.
@Boss7349 All the instructions for installation are in the included documents including the links to required files you must already have installed before this mod. Rather or not your system experiences performance loss depends on your system. I dev on a full ROG 2020 build with 2080ti's, I do not get low FPS. When testers reported FPS loss, I made adjustments to what they reported. Some have some slightly lower FPS with huge trains, most did not have any noticeable changes.
