The most authentic and minimalist speedometer for GTA V. There is a version of m/h and km/h.
Requirements:
- ScriptHookVDotNet 3
- Script Hook V
Installation:
- Move the .dll and .ini file from the folder "scripts" into your scripts folder, if you do not have one just create the folder by yourself. In .ini file you can change the speedometer display coordinates.
Changelog:
v 1.2:
- The script comes with an .ini file in which you can manually configure the speedometer display coordinates.
v 1.1:
- The script reads your metric system setting in the game and changes the speedometer version accordingly (mi per hour or km per hour). You can change this option in the game settings.
- The speedometer is fully tied to the minimap. Now the speedometer will not be displayed in unnecessary places (for example, in cutscenes when the main character is in the car or on the "Wasted" screen).
- Minor fixes.

how to switch between m/ph and km/ph
Good idea, I like it. Might be interesting to add a .ini file in the future to change between mph/kmh or change the location around a little bit :)
@AR Scorpion There's two versions of the mod in the left side of the page - km/h and m/h. Choose the second one for miles.
@DuringLight Hey, looks very good, although I think it would be better to have a single version that would change between mph and kph depending on which GTAV native setting the user chooses (imperial/metric).
could just make a ini file that makes it so you can change between the 2

@sleepykevin Yes, but if the option directly correlates with imperial/metric units, using the vanilla option is definitely better.

Amazing mod. For the people that are using flawless widescreen that have 5120x1440 use PosX=0.301 PosY=0.954 so it shows up correctly.
Just an FYI, the mod wouldn't work for me on the 1.2 version at first. The positions in the .ini are listed as 0,12 & 0,929. I had to change the commas to periods -- "," to "." -- and it worked perfectly after that. Other than that, it's great.

As described by KyleGS above, I also had to change commas to periods to get the script to even work (at least have some evidence of it).
The default position is outside the minimap by a letter or so on the biggest safezone size (in-game setting). I understand that this is customizable, but without an in-game menu, it's challenging. Before making a menu, I believe it would be possible to set it up kind of opposite the navigation distance marker in the minimap, with people being able to turn on their own config, but with the position still taking into consideration the safezone size, so it doesn't change relative to the minimap even if the safezone changes.
Now the script works pretty well, but since I had to go to the comments here to get it to start working, I can't go higher than 2 stars.
you might want to fix your mod, as in version 1.2 there is no Speedo on the minimap, just the gears on the right side of the screen
