[ABOUT]
Are you tired of trying to escape from a rampage, only to get your vehicle pummeled into bullet death by some world-class police snipers in a helicopter? Well, this mod takes their god-tier power away by removing their weapons of mass destruction from their inventories. Expect to see two idiots sitting on the sides of those helicopters completely unarmed and hopelessly useless to their compadres. Police helicopters will now only pursue you, so you can drive away from your events of domestic terror in peace.
[FEATURES]
-Police helicopter snipers will now be unarmed.
-Peace and auditory relaxation.
-Scientifically proven to have a positive effect on stress levels.
-Maybe more in the future.
[KNOWN BUGS]
-None so far!
[INCOMPATIBILITIES]
-Currently incompatible with Better Police Weapon Loadouts by Yard1. Police snipers will still have their loadouts with it installed, effectively making my mod useless. I believe there may be another file that modifies police helicopter snipers within this mod that overrides changes in loadouts.meta made by my mod. If anyone has any suggestions on how I'd get around this I'd greatly appreciate it! (I use the mod myself and I am struggling to get it to work)
-This mod edits the weapon codes under "LOADOUT_COP_HELI" in loadouts.meta to be "WEAPON_UNARMED" (lines 1304-1315, 1299 with mod installed). If you have another mod installed that modifies these values, expect compatibility issues!
[INSTALLATION]
-Download and install OpenIV
-Open path: mods/update/update.rpf/ with edit mode turned on and drag and drop the "common" folder into OpenIV
-Set out on the counter to cool for two minutes
-Stir and serve!

Feel free to use, edit, and mess around with this mod all you like, but if you do make some improvements and want to release them message me and I'll release the update with your name/info in the credits. Please don't release modified versions of or re-release this mod!

Approved. With many of us using heavily modified files over the years, maybe it's worth mentioning exactly what entries in loadouts.meta you edited? Just a thought.

P.S - They use Assault Rifle not Sniper Rifle.
For some reason, once I looked at the title, it sounds like "Swiper No Swiping" from Dora the Explorer.
@NightBreak290 That was what the name was based on, I figured it suited things.
@MrTaser Yeah I remember in the original loadout.meta file they are given carbine rifles by default. I wonder how much more overpowered they'd be with actual sniper/marksmen rifles. (Sounds like an experiment I have to try)
