It's super easy to do it using OpenIV; all you have to do is change the name in the following places:
-The .yft's name inside of dlc.rpf/x64/vehicles.rpf
-The .ytd's name inside of dlc.rpf/x64/vehicles.rpf
-The model's name in carvariations.meta, handling.meta and vehicles.meta (perhaps in _manifest.ymf too if it exists?) inside of dlc.rpf/data
I'm not using this mod myself so I'm not sure if anything else is linked to the model name, but it shouldn't be hard to find other instances of it in the archive.
Just make sure you aren't changing it in files like content.xml and setup.xml, because that's the dlc folder's name that's got the same name, not the car model.
If the author grants us permission, I'll happily do the change and reupload/send over Discord or w/e.
What chrisnovxxx said!
Unless you'd like people taking advantage of that and turning a mod's comment section political too to take it down I mean. :/ Not a good way to deal with things.
@TheFaNTaS11 No love for Saleen S7 and Volkswagen W12 anywhere! </3
Anyway, love this GT1 but it's got a few issues with the windows and stuff (as others mentioned too), otherwise 5/5.
Any chance you can do some 996 models? The ones with the nice lights, before everything became round. :/
Try reading my reply again. It should answer your questions. Before mods delete it anwyay.
I wonder what's going on in these people's minds sometimes...
"Wow, this Screen Space Reflections effect is so realistic, I bet noone discovered it yet! I'll upload a preset with it enabled and call it custom work and I'll get popular and then I'll make a patreon and put it on there and make thousands! Who cares if I'm color-blind and everything is blue/oversaturated? REFLECTIONS!!!!! REEEEE!!!!!!!!!!"
We need a downvote/dislike button. It's the only thing that'll prevent us from having to dig through hundreds low quality "mods" before finding a good one.
(But what do we get instead? Comments like this one removed, as the "authors'" feelings will be hurt and they'll leave the site otherwise, you know? We can't even give this a bad rating based on opinion, it has to have some problem or something for the mods to justify a bad rating. Sad community.)
I feel like dumping every single RL car mod I have in my game right now and sticking to all the lore-friendly stuff like this. Gives me a nostalgic feeling. Thank you for sharing, might be using this very soon. And congratz on the Boxster S! I like that model the most. The ones up to 2004 if I'm not mistaken, with the fancy, non-round headlights that look more "evil".
Again, that's IF it's missing textures causing the issue. It could just be the carcols files as I stated above, or the ENB. It's hard to guess. Need to do some troubleshooting to find out.
@kingneak85 Replacing that would take away some of NVR's textures I'd assume. You have to find which textures the mods you use are missing and add them to the vehshare. But that's just one file I used as an example. NVR uses plenty of files that edit cars, like lots of carcols files. I can't know what exactly is changed or replaced/missing, I'd have to check the models one by one in OpenIV or something.
@kingneak85 Most likely NVR, considering it replaces files like vehshare.ytd which usually contains wheel/rim textures. Replace mods are always problematic when it comes to installing graphic-enhancement mods that replace vanilla files tbh. You have to open the .oiv installer and see what exactly NVR replaces, make backups of these files then see which ones you want from the vehicle mod and which from the visual mod, though, in most cases, these mods replace the entire texture file (like with vehshare) and you can technically extract the textures you want to keep, install NVR, then add these textures back to the file. Since you've already installed NVR though, I'd say it's a bit too late for that; you'd have to find the missing textures or whatever for each mod manually. Uninstalling NVR won't get them back; it doesn't keep backups on its own to put back when uninstalled.
