(It also depends on the state of your background OS, some people's system has used several GB before they even do anything). If you are going above 2500 and still crashing - could be that you have too many mods or one of them is causing issues. (I'm trying to give general understanding rather than specific advice - it's helpful to understand things yourself, saves you having to rely on fixed answers.
@DayL There's not a single answer, depends on your ram and the amount of mods you have. The default of 750 is probably fine (a good default). Is there any reason to increase it? If your game is still crashing, try increasing to 1000, 1250 or 1500.
@Prestigefi Not really as these modders are not being paid by you in any way - maybe try putting thousands of hours into something for free and then politely offer bonus content so you can eat - then you might understand and appreciate the effort that goes into improving your game for free.
For example there may be some people who want to mod this game but are un-interested in learning C# - if this helps them then I don't see any harm in it.
If you don't see the usefulness that's okay but not a reason to give low votes. Like every other mod, if it's not for you - move along. The low rating is supposed to be for the quality of the mod, not whether it's useful in your opinion.

Great work!

@HKH191 Good luck with your game
Cool mod, how about headshots being a factor too?
The point I guess is that you won't have to give them unique license plates yourself which is a pain
