@moody why you gotta be so moody. It's a functional, cool mod. I see no reason to leave this sitting on a harddrive until when? 5 months down the line? No one is forcing you to play it yet, but those who do can help contribute to a full mod in the future by reporting bugs etc.
@CherryPie I've actually figured out a temporary solution. Rename your files for whatever weapon to the luxe variant and put it in your mpluxe folder. That way all the npcs' guns will use the vanilla texture and thus have no issues. You then upgrade your gun with the luxury version. It's not perfect since your player is the only one with the re-skin but it's a compromise for now.
Anyone looking into the problem of flickering guns, there is another weapons.rpf file that I found. I don't know if that would be the root of the problem, but it's located in x64e.rpf if that's helpful to someone. Just reporting my finding, cause I want a fix soooooooooooooooo bad.
@CherryPie I've done that too, but it appears not to be that simple. I don't know if you also had this issue, but it would seem that firing the sideways gun causes a crash.
It looks great, but the textures flicker when NPCs are using the gun. It's fine with my char tho. Just a little annoying seeing flickering textures mid gunfight.
I think this is broken now. All my other lua mods are working and looking in the LUA sdk command prompt, this mod gives an error every time. "invalid escape sequence near '\U'"

This is a really cool idea. Needs work obviously, but very impressive that this is even able to be done. You sir are a pioneer.
