@ziton2 It's definitely clunky right now. I might release a new version in a few months with some fixes and choice to spawn specific peds in specific areas on the map.
@JohnFromGWN please try to do that manually and tell me how long it took. The file which has the list of all the pedestrians that spawn in the map has hundreds of lines and is divided into multiple categories based on locations. Editing such a big file, personally it took me about 1.5 hours and if I wanted to add another name to the list or realized that I had copy-pasted the wrong name, I would have to go back.
This mod is simply made for the objective of making the process of editing the file easier and quicker.
@agfjosrig After following all the steps in description, when you've finally opened AddonPedSpawner.exe, write the exact name of your Addon Peds. For example, if you downloaded an Addon Ped say Superman, write the exact name of the Addon Ped in the .exe provided, when you get your modified file, replace the popgroups.ymt and launch the game, you will see the AddonPed spawn in your world randomly walking, calling, talking, smoking, etc.
@mrreo Try to convert .txt to .xml manually instead of using an Online converter. Try running AddonPedSpawner.exe as Administrator. If it still doesn't work, try checking your popgroups.txt if its corrupted or not, if it isn't exported properly from OpenIV, it will still be encrypted and the .exe wont be able to read it. Make sure it is exported as plain text file from OpenIV.
