@JohnFromGWN Thank you very very much :) I will take a look at this and I hope it fixes the issues I was having with some peds' ymts :) <3
@ahmeda1999 By the by your discord invite link in your profile not working :/ Could you renew it or send me the link please :(
@JohnFromGWN Thank you very much to you too as well nicey friend :) <3 and definetly must be done while rested, because the stuff inside the xml is too crowded and very intimidating. Using notepad++ to hide the other columns and only show the column you are editing helps a ton at the beginnings, which I'm still using it because it makes things a million times easier :) <3
I still haven't tested meta tools. Do you know by any chance can meta tools export and import the xml files properly? and also the file is being ymt at the beginning, can it open or convert that file as well? Sorry I have never heard of meta tools before so haha :D
@ahmeda1999 Oh sure thank you so so much <3
@JohnFromGWN The way I do is, I'm opening CodeWalker RPF Explorer, then navigating to the ped's .ymt file. and right clicking on it, selecting Export XML. Then I'm just doing the changes I want and right clicking in CodeWalker again and selecting Import XML.
A note though, sometimes (I have seen this in alex189's peds all the time), some numbers are getting scrambled, like the first set of numbers at the top of the XML that determining which slot is used and which slot not. If you are seeing numbers like "0 1 2 3 255 4 5 6 255 255 7 8...." it means the ymt got exported properly. However if you are seeing random numbers and letters it means those numbers are scrambled. Then you just need to import the XML back and then export it again. After that you will see the numbers as "0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0...". Then you just need to modify these to determine which slot is used and which is not.
and I haven't had any issues with doing this in alex189's peds. However some peds I have encountered crashes and not sure why it's crashing. Also I guess while exporting and saving CodeWalker doing something bad or missing something and removing the high heel data from the XML. Like thebegin10's peds, whenever I export/import them or save inside the CodeWalker without exporting, the high heel data always getting lost :/
@ahmeda1999 I mean the thing you said under Features list,
" - Realistic steering wheel angle "
So when you full turn the wheels too much the steering wheel turns like 3 times. but you know in vanilla it turns like only 1 time. So is it possible to remove this realistic steering wheel angle and leave it as vanilla angle?
By the by I'm not saying it's bad, it just felt a bit of kinda awkward to me especially in first person.
@F7YO I already have all my addon vehicles inside 1 dlc.rpf . Though I feel like you should explain this in your description to help people with it? Not everyone has that knowledge here and it's a good thing to pass important and relavant knowledge to others.
It's obvious you don't use every mod. Your mods are very lightweight and take a few mods out you won't even be needing a gameconfig. I'm not asking the easiest things in life nor things from you, as a matter of fact I already have a gameconfig that can handle a heavily modded game for more than 20 hours, using InfiniteQuestion's gameconfig. So I was merely giving you a constructive feedback to at least try on new things to improve your work a little bit to support different type of games as well. and I must say if you truly believe what you said "Curiosity makes you experienced.", then you should take this feedback very positive in my opinion. But of course the choice is yours, and if you want to walk on the same spot and never experience new things, I can't forcefully push you out of your circle friend...
@JohnFromGWN No I'm just using Notepad++. I know what to edit and change though so it's easy for me, but a bit time consuming depending on how many changes I want to make. Some ymts though are problematic and when I edit them it's either crashing the game or removing high heel height. Haven't figured it out yet :/
@F7YO I will be making my comment as informative, as contributing and as constructive as possible.
First of all, I don't think you understand the term of "limitless vehicles". There is no such thing as limitless. Neither CPU nor GPU nor the game engine is made with rubber or Japanese bubble gum, which despite can stretch a lot, even these things have a limit of stretching and eventually they snap. I don't see any logical reason why you changed the title from 300 cars to limitless cars.
The mods you listed in your pinned comment are very lightweight mods only exception would be LA Roads. They are so lightweight that I have a feeling that if you remove the LA Roads you wouldn't even need a gameconfig (hypothetically speaking). So maybe instead of changing the 300 to Limitless in the title, you should have changed it to lightweight gameconfig instead.
Now you might say not to install unoptimized mods then. Well here is the problem with that. I would love to see every car mod out there perfectly optimized, but almost 90% of the car and 98% of the high quality cars have 0 optimization, including ridiculously priced paid ones. Their .yft and _hi.yft are absolutely identical, no lods, 2K texture for an empty full alpha texture livery (at least this can be shrinked down although most people unaware of this).. I'm not saying your gameconfig has to handle heavy cars, but then you should consider stating this out very clearly.
and unfortunately, backing up the old exe and update.rpf is no longer an option since rockstar purposely broke every no launcher mods. If someone doesn't has the backup of 1.0.1868.1 then they can't roll back and hope to play. Unfortunately rockstar has only left us to using so called illegal ways to be able to play their games, we bought with our hard earned money, the way we want even in singleplayer...
@TayMcKenzie While having something for free is became a priceless thing now in a heavily money driven paywall locked most gta 5 modding communities nowadays, I don't see a reason for someone to not improve himself. F7YO is been in here and making gameconfig for years, however his gameconfigs are always only working in lightly modded games. and it would be a good practice to make a better gameconfig in all those years that can handle heavily modded games as well.
For what you do when a new update comes, that removing your mods .. If you are able to do this every single time and install them back on one by one, then I must say you have a patience of vibranium steel or an extremely lightly modded game that only takes you 10 minutes or so give or take to install everything back on. But doing a fresh install? I think we all agree in here doing fresh installs are a significant times a time waste, this is practically the most unhelpful and common suggestion you can see in every steam support topics...
I'm not gonna give you a low rating F7YO because I don't want to discourage you nor my intention was to just criticize you and leave the page, but I hope you kindly at least consider my opinions and thoughts in this. Be safe...
@DJ-LEXX Forgot to mention you. Check the above message <3
I can't wait for the New Style by the by :/
