This very simple mod does two things:
- Replaces the large bullet entry wounds for smaller ones, just like in real life, where bullets usually do more damage exiting the body. (Also added "exit wounds" in head shots, missing from the original file...for some reason)
- Replaces the regular blood effect for the more bloodier "throat cut". That means more blood coming from the shot area...or a very cool misty of blood, if you prefer. :)
GOES GREAT WITH:
Realistic blood pools 1.0
and
SlowMoMod (+ Flash Mode) 0.8a
Installation:
Using OPEN IV, go to: "Grand Theft Auto V\common.rpf\data\effects"
and replace bloodfx.dat.
Special thanks to the entire OPENIV team. Without them we could never had dreamed of making any of those great mods out there ... and silly ones like my mods ;)

Wow, play this game in slow mode with this mod, its rather impressive. Thank you.
@OrangeAgent Thanks :D And how do i edit wounds ?
@bakamania Under BLOOD_DAMAGE_NAME column you can choose between three options:
BulletSmall, BulletLarge or ShotgunLarge.
@OrangeAgent Thank you very much dude, just a last question, where is located the exiting wound lines ?
Orange just please can you give me the bloodfx.dat file with your wounds setting but without any blood entry ? (exept for shotguns and sniper)
@bakamania Sure. I think I already did that for another user. Try this one: https://www.dropbox.com/s/grafcxnrer2km0g/bloodfx.dat?dl=0
@OrangeAgent Thanks, but with your wounds setting please ^^
@bakamania I'm working on an update for this mod. Hang on for awhile.
@OrangeAgent Can you make "REALISTIC" bullet wounds & "REALISTIC" blood effect :D I agree with bakamania's request ^^
Hey, how do I make the head wounds bigger? What do I edit? Thanks.
amazing, especially the head wound
@OrangeAgent I have a question, whats the line for modifying the head wound ? Because I would like to have a bigger wound for the headshot, thanks
@yeahmantiptap Open bloodfx.dat with Notepad ++, find the line "HEADSHOT", under the collun "BLOOD_DAMAGE_NAME" change the name from "BulletSmall" to "BulletLarge".
@OrangeAgent Thank you very much
@OrangeAgent Hi, I have a question; is this possible that you make your mod compatible with this one: https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/improvements-in-gore
@yeahmantiptap What part of that mod you want to merge with this one? Because his mod is entirely tied to the file "peddamagedecals.ytd" which renders alterations to the file "bloodfx.dat" irrelevant.
@OrangeAgent What thing I like in your mod is that: "- Replaces the large bullet entry wounds for smaller ones, just like in real life, where bullets usually do more damage exiting the body"
I try to modify bloodfx for that, I dont see any difference in-game.
@yeahmantiptap As I said before."Improvements in Gore" pulls all his assets from the file "peddamagedecals.ytd". If you want to change the bullet wounds you have to do it from there. Altering BloodFx.dat wouldn't make any difference with his mod installed.
oh okay I thought that was in bloodfx, thanks
I don't know if you even work on this anymore @OrangeAgent but for some reason when I add the replace the file and launch GTA V, it tells me the game needs to update and then it reverts the replacement back to the old file. If I dont update it, then I cant play my game. If you have anything that can help me please let me know, thanks.
@SGTKERORO Sorry. I'm not play GTA V anymore. This mod is outdated with the current file structure.
