Description
A small modification that will allow the game to render decals (bullet wounds) at greater distances. If you like sniping, and were annoyed by the lack of visual impact on your target after a nice long shot, this is for you.
Before you ask : i doubt this mod will have any kind of impact on your framerate.
According to the file, the decals used are "low res", so it should be fine. If you have a doubt, or if you find that the mod negatively impacts your framerate, just use the included backup file.
Instructions
I always recommend to use the OpenIV mod folder method, it's safer, cleaner, better.

Merging
If you're using another mod that mess around with peddamage.xml you can easily merge both mods together by yourself.
Last notes
If you plan to include this mod in your mod or straight use some of these values, feel free to, absolutely no issues whatsoever sharing is caring, but drop a little credit somewhere. It doesn't look like it, but research takes time.

Merging
If you're using another mod that mess around with peddamage.xml you can easily merge both mods together by yourself.
- Open peddage.xml
- Scroll all the way to the bottom
- Change the value of LowResTargetDistanceCutoff to whatever, technically higher values = greater distance on rendered decals, but take this with a pinch of salt, no proper testing was done
- Done

By the way, if you want to upload your video feel free to. But please, be concise about the content of the mod and don't blast our ears with cheap dubstep. Otherwise i will have to remove it.
Good mod.
@Drkz i love this kind of mods, the attention to detail that we sometimes just miss it/ didn't notice. Like!
Thank you for this! Great work!
@Drkz hahahaha! "don't blast our ears with cheap dubstep. Otherwise i will have to remove it" probably my favourite comment on this site! :-D
Love it!
It does exactly what it says, very nice mod. :)
Kinda wonder why this wasn't already the case with the vanilla game. Probably just an oversight when porting from the ancient last-gen consoles?
5/5
THANKS !!!!!!!
Great mod btw!
