Pinecrest The Snowy Island Frozen in the 90s
Welcome to Pinecrest, a small, remote island somewhere off the coast of San Andreas. Covered in a near-permanent blanket of snow, Pinecrest feels like a place frozen in time. It is a nostalgic bubble where the spirit of the 1990s still lingers in the cold mountain air.
An Island Still Under Construction
Pinecrest is still a work in progress. Some areas remain closed off or incomplete, roads may end abruptly, and a few buildings are still waiting to be finished. The essence of Pinecrest is already present, with the atmosphere, the charm, and the nostalgic feeling.
Future updates will include fully detailed interiors, a new island expansion, a small airport, and dynamic NPCs to bring more life to the island.
A Solo Project Made with Passion
This project is being developed by one person, myself. It is a personal passion project built through many long nights, trial and error, and a deep love for creative worldbuilding. I am currently looking for people who can help bring Pinecrest to its full potential.
This includes :
- Blender modelers for custom assets, props, and optimization
- CodeWalker users for placement, and lighting
- Designers or environment artists for polish and atmosphere.
If you have experience with any of these tools, your help would mean a lot. I am working completely alone on this project, and every contribution makes a real difference.
Community Feedback
I am counting on the GTA V community to help shape Pinecrests future. Your feedback, ideas, and suggestions are essential, whether it is improving the layout, fixing bugs, or adding new features. This island will evolve with your input.
Known Issues
Since the map is still in development, you might encounter minor bugs, floating objects, or unfinished areas. Nothing is game-breaking. Everything is fully playable and stable for exploration.
Installation Guide
To install Pinecrest, first go to your GTA V directory and navigate to mods > update > x64 > dlcpacks. Place the pinecrest folder there.
Then go to mods > update > update.rpf > common > data, open the file dlclist.xml and add the following line at the bottom: dlcpacks:/pinecrest/. Save the file, launch GTA V, and enjoy your trip to Pinecrest.

@icemove Love Christmas mods esp ones like this! Thanks!!
really good job
Truly Amazing Work, looking forward to future updates.
Mods like this are what keep GTA V modding alive for me! ❤️💯 I love to see new map mods like this that add a feeling of peace, calmness, and adventure to the world of Los Santos and open up new experiences for new or veteran players of GTA V! Keep up the great work my friend! 🔥🐺🔥
I have a question will this be the final size of the map, or do you plan to expand it, for example by adding other islands or enlarging the main map in future versions? Overall, it’s a great map so far I haven’t encountered any bugs.
@Starfox1993 Thanks so much! I’m really glad you’re enjoying it 🙌
I’ve got some exciting updates coming soon, stay tuned !
@WolfFire23309 Wow, thank you so much! ❤️ That really means a lot !!!
I’m super happy to hear the mod brings that kind of vibe, that’s exactly what I was going for !😄
I’ll keep pushing to make it even better ! 💪
@Big S Thanks a lot ! I’m really glad to hear it’s running smoothly for you
And yep there will be another island in the future (maybe before christmas) !
It’ll be a bit larger than the current one and connected to it, with some MLOs and a lot more variety to make the world feel more alive !
Really appreciate your support and feedback ! 🙌
@icemove Will traffic paths be in the future?
@Starfox1993 It's planned, but nothing is certain yet
@icemove Cool, good luck with your sucess.
@icemove Bro I think you have serious skills in this MLO department.
Now another thing or more of a request, but have you ever thought of creating a "superman fortress of solitude island"?
Hey man, that's a great map! Was wondering if you plan to make a summer/fall version of it? Basically without snow, so it can be played both in the wintertime and summer. Good luck with updates, can't wait to see how this map will expand. Keep up the great work 🔥
beautiful map are you planning the next update to expand the map to make it bigger & better even add bridges to conneted to the main map & add traffic paths
@shertez as soon as I loaded it up, I was so impressed but I had the urge to change the trees and fiddle about with the textures. Would love if this eventually had an summer/fall version. I'd also love for that to link up with Paleto
@nj5050 Haha thanks bro, appreciate it ! A Superman Fortress of Solitude island actually sounds pretty sick but never really thought about it, but it could make for a cool standalone MLO project. I might mess around with that idea sometime 👀
@shertez Thanks a lot bro, glad you liked it ! Yeah, I’ve actually thought about making a summer/fall version without the snow, something that fits all seasons. It’s definitely on my list for future updates. Appreciate the support 🔥
@DriftApe Thanks a lot man, really appreciate it! Yeah, I’m planning to expand the map in the next updates (big city) maybe add some new areas, bridges to connect it with the main map, and proper traffic paths too. Got a few ideas I’m working on 👀
looks great, runs great..would be cool if there are houses, some people and animals..
